Azuba is a partner of ExaGrid in Spain. ExaGrid provides a Tiered Backup Storage platform designed to improve the performance, scalability and security of backup infrastructures. Its architecture combines a high-performance disk zone for fast backups and recoveries with an independent repository optimized for long-term retention and protected against ransomware.

Repository Tier
Retention data moves to a second tier where it is stored deduplicated. This repository is not exposed to the network, adding an extra isolation and protection layer for backup data.
Protection against ransomware
Retention Time-Lock
ExaGrid includes Retention Time-Lock for Ransomware Recovery. If an attacker compromises production or the backup application, copies stored in the Repository Tier stay protected for the configured period and remain available for recovery.

Compatible with leading backup platforms
ExaGrid complements existing data protection solutions and works with many backup applications. These include Veeam, Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, HYCU and Rubrik, as well as direct backups from Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle RMAN, among others. ExaGrid can serve as storage for Rubrik Archive Tier, so both solutions can sit in the same protection and retention architecture in Azuba's portfolio.

Common questions
Does ExaGrid replace Rubrik or backup software?
No. ExaGrid is the copy target, not the engine that takes backups. It can complement Rubrik, including Rubrik Archive Tier, and other platforms such as Veeam or Commvault.
How is Landing Zone different from Repository Tier?
The Landing Zone keeps recent backups on disk for fast operations. The Repository Tier stores deduplicated retention, not exposed to the network, with additional ransomware protection.
